These particular designs have been loosely influenced by my research into warrior grave goods. I have drawn inspiration from tribal cultures, their belief systems and oral traditions, the respect they had for their natural environment and their awareness of the impact they had on it.

Working with both wood and stone I am able to appreciate the differences and idiosyncrasies of each medium. Using raw materials ensures a certain amount of individuality predominant in the finished piece with a different grain, tone or characteristic that in itself holds a simplistic natural beauty.
